For its first match in the qualifying tournament for the Africa Women’s Cup in Tunis (October 14-22), Senegal’s women’s rugby union team lost 24-07 to Tunisia in Group C. The girls coach Simon Lenoir held the Tunisians at home with a score of 00-00 at halftime. The teammates of Eve Nasala (captain of the Lionesses of the oval) collapse during the second act despite a registered try.
Senegal plays its second match against Madagascar on Tuesday 18 October. The Lionesses must absolutely win to maintain the hope of qualifying for the Africa Women’s Cup.
