Basket-Mondial 2023-DRC: Maxi Shamba forfeits for the fourth window of the playoffs

The DRC basketball team will have to do without Maxi Shamba for the fourth window of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers (August 26-28 in Monastir, Tunisia). Already absent during the last window in Alexandria, the 28-year-old leader still seems to have not digested the fact of not having been retained by Thomas Drouot for this third window, after taking part in the internship in Istanbul. Maxi Shamba has declared his unavailability for this August window. The new Leopards coach, Emmanuel Mavomo, will therefore have to go to Monastir with the three leaders of the last window: Myck Kabongo, Mutwale Malela and Narcisse Ambanza.
