CAN 2021-Friendly: confusion around Morocco-Cape Verde
The Atlas Lions continue their preparation in Maâmora (Rabat).
Morocco will not play against Cape Verde, Friday, December 31, its first preparation match for CAN 2021 . The meeting has just been canceled. In question, cases of Covid within the Cape Verdean selection and the Atlas Lions (one element, Youssef En-Nesyri).
Vahid Halilhodzic, the coach of the Atlas Lions, announced during the publication of his list that his charges will play a friendly match in Rabat and another at home or in Cameroon before the start of the CAN. But no opponent had been officially designated.

The specialty channel Arriyadia had however announced the holding of a friendly meeting Friday, January 31 against Cape Verde. For the moment, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has neither confirmed nor denied the holding of this match.
The preparation of the Atlas Lions therefore seems a little disturbed by the health context and the calendar of European clubs. Because, the Atlas Lions playing in England will not be released by their club before January 3.
