Al Ahly correct ES Sétif
There was no game. The Egyptian giant, Al Ahly, indeed strolled against ES Sétif this Saturday, May 7 in the semi-final first leg of the CAF Champions League. Never embarrassed by their opponents in this match, the Red Devils quietly rolled out their football to finally win 4-0.
They first found the fault by Percy Tau at half an hour of play. In difficulty, the visitors will be reduced to 10 from the 35th minute of play following the expulsion of Amir Karaoui.
In the second half, Pitso Mosimane’s men took advantage of their numerical superiority to knock out the Algerians. Taher Mohamed first doubled the bet (54′), before Mohamed Sherif added to the score in the 72nd minute of play. Superior from all points of view, the reigning African champions did not want to stop there. Percy Tau scores twice in the dying seconds of the match to deliver the coup de grace to ES Sétif.
With this big victory, the Egyptians take a big option for the final, while waiting for the return match next Saturday.
