Liverpool: a former member of the club notes the departure of Mo Salah
Are we getting closer to the end of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool? This is exactly what José Enrique thinks. The player who played for Liverpool between 2011 and 2016 told Grosvenor Sport.
“ If the right offer comes, I think Salah will leave because I think he was trying to leave last summer. They were offered something like £200 million for him last summer and it was a real deal. When you receive an offer like that, it usually means there is already an agreement between the player and the club. I think Salah had already agreed to go and I believe he will finally go to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Jürgen Klopp is leaving, so it’s the perfect time for Salah. There’s a new cycle at Liverpool and a lot of changes, so it’s perfect for him. This will probably be the last big contract of his career, so I think he will leave for Saudi Arabia .”
The Spaniard doesn’t stop there. He indeed offers the Reds a few names to take over from Mo Salah, including that of the Ghanaian Kudus. “ Mohammed Kudus is someone who I think could replace Salah.
Even last summer I would have said that and now, of course, he is playing very well for West Ham. You could also sign someone like Ebere Eze from Crystal Palace, but there aren’t really any obvious replacements.
Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sané is a possibility as he is currently in a bit of a difficult situation with his contract there. That’s the kind of name they need to come up with and it could be an option.
