Made in Rwanda Cup 2022: Kiyovu Sport winner of the first edition

Kiyovu winner of Made IN Rwanda Cup 2022

The Kiyovu Sport team won the first edition of Made in Rwanda Cup 2022 this Sunday, October 9 . Kiyovu Sport won against Rayon Sport (2-1). Rayon Sport’s Mbirizi Eric missed in injury time, a penalty that would put the two teams level. Kiyovu’s two goals were scored by Mugenzi Bienvenu (36th) and Bigirimana Abedi (76th). Rayon Sport saved the honor thanks to Moussa Essenu (90th).

Alain-André Landeut, coach of Kiyovu, who had promised the leaders of this formation the championship cup, gives a first trophy to this team at the start of the 2022-2023 season. The last cup won by Kiyovu Sport dates back to 1993, which caused immense joy among the supporters of this team.

Third place went to Mukura Victory Sport. This club from southern Rwanda easily beat Musanze (4-0). Mukura’s scorers are Robert Mukonya (7th), Murenzi Patrick (58th), Kamanzi Ashraf (65th) and Kubzimana Cédric (87th).
