Nigeria and Tanzania will play in the quarter-finals of the U17 Women’s World Cup in India. After their big victory against New Zealand (4-0), the Nigerians were forced to face Chile (2-1). The Flamingos (6pts) are now second in Group B behind Germany (9pts). They will face the United States for a place in the semi-finals on Friday, October 21 at 11am GMT.
For its debut, Tanzania performed well. The Serengeti Girls qualified for the quarters after their draw against Canada (1-1). They had also beaten France (2-1). With four points, they finish second in Group D behind Japan (9pts). Tanzania will face Colombia on Saturday 22 at 11am GMT.

Morocco, on the other hand, is eliminated from the competition. The Lioncelles de l’Atlas were swept away by the Americans (4-0). The Moroccans finish third in pool A behind the United States (7pts) and Brazil (7pts).
