Tatjana Schoenmakerwill skip the International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Cup. The South African swimmer wants to focus on the Commonwealth Games. 

The competitions are scheduled for July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham, UK. “ My team and I decided to miss the Swimming World Cup in order to perform in Birmingham. 

So, I’m very excited. I’m just looking forward to working harder and doing my best in Birmingham ,” revealed the Olympic champion and world record holder in the 200m breaststroke.

Tatjana Schoenmaker won two gold medals at the last Commonwealth Games in Cape Coast, in 2018. She will then try to defend her titles in Birmingham.
