World U20 (F): two African referees selected

African refereeing will be well represented at the U20 Women’s World Cup Costa Rica 2022. The FIFA Referees Committee has indeed unveiled the list of referees who will officiate at this World Cup. There will be two Africans, Togolese Amedomé Vincentia and Makalima Akhona from South Africa.
Four African assistant referees have also been selected. They are Atezambong Carine (Cameroon), Koné Fanta (Mali), Chikotesha Diana (Zambia) and Iyorhe Mimisen (Nigeria). At the VAR, the black continent will only be represented by Moroccans. Karboubi Bouchra and Jermoumi Fatiha were indeed chosen.
